Family Trip to Kauai

We took the long journey from NYC out to Hawaii this past week to visit with Jeremiah's family on the island of Oahu.  Since we had never been to Kauai before, but had heard many great reviews on it, we decided to take a mini trip out there and visit for a few days.  We spent 4 beautiful days on the North Shore in Princeville, Kauai. We loved how secluded and untouched this island is. The highlights of our trip were hiking along the Na Pali Coast, spending the afternoons at the picturesque Hanalei Bay, driving through the taro fields, and finding beautiful seashells along Tunnels Beach. It was especially fun seeing life through Kenna's eyes...she loved swimming in the water with us, covering herself in the sand (and eating it!), holding her first lizard Jeremiah caught for her along the Na Pali coast, and riding alongside us babbling away in the backpack we carried her in.
